Children who deal with Depression

Did you know that according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness Studies on any one day about 2% of elementary aged children, as well as 8% of preteens and teens are at risk of suffering from major depression. We don’t just mean those are the one’s who are the most susceptible. We mean they show all of the psychological warning signs of possibly dealing with bouts of depression.

The British Medical Journal published a study of 542 children from the ages of 12 through 18 who suffered from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). 29% of those children also suffered from depression, and many of them suffered from pain and anxiety. That caused those children to battle an even higher risk of depression.

When a person suffers from depression, the symptoms—pain, irritability, and isolation—are often the same as the symptoms a person with CFS also suffers from.

Healing from CFS

While the medical community continues to try to deal with people’s physical and psychological problems with medication, people who deal with CFS and depression have found healing through upper cervical chiropractic care. This specific and gentle form of chiropractic, which includes no popping or cracking of the spine, has had amazing results with helping people overcoming various physical and psychological ailments.

Of course, that’s because rather than merely looking for similar symptoms and covering up the symptoms, upper cervical chiropractic focuses on the underlying cause of the problem. Depression, mood disorders, CFS, anxiety, and Fibromyalgia all stem from a misalignment in the upper neck that places pressure on the brainstem and interferes with the flow of nerves from the brain to the body.

So, all of the evidence points to the same method of healing. The best way for a person to deal with their Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Depression, mood disorders, or similar conditions is not to take whatever medication from whichever pharmaceutical company with the biggest marketing budget. It’s to place your care into the hands of an upper cervical chiropractor, so they can examine your upper cervical spine for any misalignments that may be the underlying cause of that condition you are dealing with.
